Writing the requirements
Write the design requirements as a plain description of what the buyer has in mind: the direction, the elements that matter, and anything to settle in writing. The requirements belong beside the items they belong to, so each item on the list reads with its own requirements attached. A message with the requirements in one place and the items in another makes the questions harder to place.
Name the colour, shape and size requirements in the same message, beside the items they belong to, and ask what applies to each item. This site publishes no claim about any design method, and the inquiry should not assume one.
Design-led lists spanning families
A design-led list often spans more than one scarf family. Keep the families in separate groups in the inquiry, with the design requirements beside the group they belong to, so a requirement for one family never sits beside an item from another family by mistake.
