What a custom brief carries
A custom brief carries the design requirements in the buyer's own words, the item list, and the quantities beside each item. The design requirements belong beside the items they belong to, so each item on the list reads with its own requirements attached. A brief with the requirements in one place and the items in another makes the questions harder to place.
Custom scarves span the scarf families on this site: silk, wool, cashmere and polyester scarves can all appear in a custom list. Keep the families in separate groups in the inquiry, with the design requirements beside the group they belong to, so a requirement for one family never sits beside an item from another family by mistake.
Writing the design requirements
Write the design requirements as a plain description of what the buyer has in mind: the direction, the elements that matter, and anything to settle in writing. Name the colour, shape and size requirements in the same message, beside the items they belong to, and ask what applies to each item. This site publishes no claim about any design method, and the inquiry should not assume one.

Turn the brief into an item list before sending: one line per item, the quantity beside each line, and the design requirements beside the lines they belong to.
